JI says Nawaz mentally accepted Indian hegemony; urges govt to accept Taliban’s talks offer
PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan said that Nawaz Sharif had mentally accepted the hegemony of India, which is not only violating ceasefire on borders but also trying to turn our land barren through water aggression.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion of an Eid Milan programme here, he said that India was creating tension on the Line of Control by resorting to unprovoked firing.
He said that the prime minister had failed to pursue the case of Pakistan. He was of the view that Nawaz Sharif has adopted a remorseful attitude, which led to Indian aggression.
He said that secular lobby starts raising hue and cry whenever the matter of talks with Taliban is discussed.
Hasan said that the federal government should wholeheartedly accept the Taliban’s offer for peace negotiations.
The JI chief said that the government was trying to hide state terrorism and urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to fulfill his promises.
He further said that the presence of US army in Afghanistan was the root cause of all evil and terrorism could not be eliminated without rectifying policies.
He claimed that GST and power tariff were increased on the dictation of IMF.
