NAB clears KPK Speaker Asad Qaiser from corruption charges

PESHAWAR: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Assad Qaisar Friday said that the allegations level against him through an anonymous letter have been termed baseless as they were unfounded and devoid of facts.

Addressing a press conference at Speaker House, he said that none of the allegation has proved in the probe initiated by NAB against him. He said that unnecessary hue and cry was made against him through a unknown letter.

Speaker said that he himself presented before Director General NAB relating to investigations. He said that my institutions and schools also came under investigations but nothing was proved.

Speaking on the occasion, Provincial Information Minister, Shah Faram said that it is matter of honor that not a single allegation has been proved against Speaker. He said that PTI was trying to stop corruption in the province through legislation.

He said that PTI is against nepotism and favoritism and purged state institutions from the menace of corruption and commission mafia through legislation from the provincial assembly over last four years.
