I am not sure what to say - you spend a lot more time on here than I do and logically it seems that your political awareness would be proportional to the time spent on this forum but sorry to say that sometime logic fails ;-)

Just check how many times Farooq Leghari won and how many times his sons and nieces and nephews or whoever related to him won elections and compare that to how many times Raja lost elections. Once you do that you will realize the flaw in your thinking. There is a huge difference between the political standing of the Legharis and Raja Ashraf. Its a very sad reflection on Pakistani politics but its a reality.

Just to make it short - here is an excerpt from the wikipedia entry on Farooq Leghari:

He was born into a political family that has been active in politics in that part of the world since the pre-colonial days. His father Muhammad Khan Leghari and grandfather Nawab Muhmammad Jamal Khan Leghari had both been ministers in the Government. Leghari was the major landowner in the area and owned approximately 2,500 acres (10 km[SUP]2[/SUP]) of land. After the death of Farooq Khan Leghari his son Jamal Khan Leghari became the 23rd Chief of Leghari tribe.


You can dig up on the inter-marriages of Legharis and other influential families in Pakistan. Now compare that to wiki entry on Raja Ashraf - I didn't find much except it says that he was born in Saghar and graduated from Sindh Assembly. I hope you get what I am trying to say as to how Leghari and Raja are different.

Still, if you like to believe that that he will topple Zardari then who am I to stop you from dreaming ;-)
