UK activists to protest at US embassy in London

British Muslim activists are to demonstrate in London against the anti-Islam movie.

Hundreds of Muslims are to demonstrate in London to express their "solidarity" with others across the world, as anger over the blasphemous US-made movie spreads also into the British Muslim community.


Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain has organized the protest, which will take place outside the US embassy in the UK capital on Sunday September 16.

"The demonstration will be condemning in the strongest possible terms any and all insults against Islam and the symbols of our religion; especially those against the greatest man sent to mankind the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him," said a group statement.

Earlier on September 14, a flag-burning protest was held in front of the US mission in Grosvenor Square, London, in which the demonstrators chanted "burn burn USA" and set an American flag on fire.

As the protests against the anti-Islam movie spread, non-essential United States government personnel are said to be evacuating from Sudan and Tunisia due to fears of mass demonstrations occurring outside American embassies.

Meanwhile, on Saturday September 15, hundreds of people marched in the streets of Antwerp, Belgium, in order to protest against the sacrilegious movie. Furthermore, Australian police clashed with around 200 protestors on the same day, outside the US consulate in Sydney, Australia.

The anti-US protests were triggered on Tuesday September 11, after the blasphemous video led to an attack on the US consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi, where the US ambassador and three other Americans were killed.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A flag burning protest has taken place outside the US embassy in the UK capital, as anger over the blasphemous US-made movie spreads into the British Muslim community.

Muslim cleric and former solicitor Anjem Choudary led the flag-burning demonstration outside the US embassy in Grosvenor Square, London, on Friday September 14, while the protesters chanted "burn burn USA" and set an American flag on fire.

The anti-Islam film has angered millions of people in the Muslim world, sparking mass protests outside US embassies in different countries.

Referring to the killing of US ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, a demonstrator said, “They lost one of their ambassadors but about many Muslims have they killed in cold blood.”

A Scotland Yard spokesman said, “About 150 people marched from central London mosque to the US Embassy.”

Protests should be ending all business and diplomatic ties with the west until they apoligise for this blasphemy promising it will never happen again. There is little point in burning flags or your own property for that matter instead anger has to be channeled in a positive way.

Hurt them where it does most which is in the pocket and these things will stop in a few days, guaranteed!. Problem is that us Muslim's don't really think diplomatically so they will keep on provoking us which is what they want. After ending diplomatic ties we can then demand for the culprits too be handed over to Muslim people if they want them resumed.
