Supreme Court dismisses NRO implementation case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday dismissed the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case and withdrew the contempt notice against Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, DawnNews reported.

A five-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali resumed the hearing over the NRO verdict implementation case. During the hearing, Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek requested the court to dismiss the case and said that the letter, written by attorney general of Pakistan and sent via diplomatic channel, had been received by Swiss attorney general.

The court’s ruling said that its order was implemented in view of the instructions given in Paragraph 178 of the SC’s judgment dated 16th December, 2009, in the case of Dr Mobashir Hasan.

Talking to media representative after the hearing, Farooq H. Naek said that the court’s decision was a victory for justice and democracy adding that the government implemented every directive of the supreme court.
Moreover, he said that the letter was not written forcibly rather in accordance of supreme court instructions

گورنمنٹ اور سپریم کورٹ کے درمیان کھیلا جانےوالا تین سالہ ٹیسٹ میچ ہار جیت کے فیصلے کے بغیر اختتام پذیر ہوگیا۔ سپریم کورٹ کی جانب سے نمایاں کارکردگی دکھانے والوں میں سپریم کورٹ کی ٹیم کے کیپٹن چوہدری افتخار اور ان کے صاحبزادے ارسلان افتخار تھے۔ جبکہ گورنمنٹ کی جانب سے یوسف رضا گیلانی نے نمایاں کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کیا جو 99 کے اسکور پر سپریم کے کیپٹن چوہدری افتخارکے باؤنسر کی وجہ سے ریٹائر ہرٹ ہوئے اور کھیل جاری نا رکھ سکے۔ علاوہ ازیں گورنمنٹ کے ڈاکٹر بابر اعوان کو مخالف ٹیم کے کیپٹن سے الجھنے کی وجہ سے سسپنشن کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔

I am waiting the response of my friends in this forum who used to say
Dekhna Hamara Veer Chief Justice Zardari aur Nawaz ke Moonh se Paisey Nikalway Gaa.After this verdict where are my those friend,they most of time used to abuse me youdon,t have patience.
But I was of view from very begining Zardari+Nawaz+Chief justice ka Muk Mukao hay soon you will read a small footnote all cases against Nawaz squashed as one petition under hearing at LHC ,sharif,s claim for same.
