MQM's demand for Army in Karachi is a trap.

Okay so let me understand this.

* FC is totally deployed in Balochistan

* Army has 35% of its strength deployed in KPK-FATA-WANA

* Balochistan Levies are deployed on Sistaan border along with ANF Units

* Rangers are deployed in Karachi-taking a toll on our Eastern border patrol

* Army had to deploy more soldiers for any eventuality at the LOC because of the Indian firing

Now having all of that background in mind, MQM demands Army to be deployed in Karachi, therefore leaving Pakistan's eastern flank with India totally vulnerable. Its a trap - in case India mounts an incursion, we won't have enough men to be mustered at our eastern flank, because they would be spread all over the country to a point of operational ineffectiveness.

One must ask who MQM is working for?
Does MQM take all of us for fools?


Just a few thoughts.

well i don't think if army comes to karachi they would have to leave eastern borders as a matter of fact being a strategically important there is also army preset in Karachi and army's V corps is also in karachi...calling for army is just a part of mqm's dirty politics as long as they are in govt ever thing is good and when they are not every thing is bad as hell..this was done to pressurize pp to bring musharaf's local govt system in sindh where they had full control over karachi..MQM sloppy as always (thumbsdown)(thumbsdown)

First of all, stop writing in large font, its abhorrently offensive. Secondly, stabilizing Karachi is the responsibility of the police. Since MQM has a terrorist wing, to kill the policemen regularly, it is not possible for them do the job that is needed to be done. Lastly we need a counter terrorism act, to give punitive powers to the police and Sindh rangers, to arrest and detain ANYONE for as long as necessary without charge, just like the US patriot act.

MQM has illicit/racist treacherous agenda at heart, its terrorists are trained by Research and Analysis Wing of India. Their rein of terror has to be brought to an end, to restore the honor of Karachi, Pakistan's greatest city.

Yes it is a trap demand but we must fall into this trap. I think there are two additional objectives , Under guise of army actions Altaf will get witnesses against him allegedly linking him killings , all killed , he then hopes that Pathan hordes will get decapitated and what remains is safe MQM leadership . Offcourse we will fall for it . We need deploy army in some other larger cities as well so MQM terrorists do not relocate and yes this is a ploy to deter Pakistan from decisive war on Afghan front . This battle is unavoidable.
