Few days back I was discussing this thing with my Friend that

Main reason of Disliking of MQM in Pakistan is ALTAF HUSSAIN. He is the one who is Holding MQM back by his sick mentality and politics.
He always try to divide ppl based upon Province and ethnic background. Which is the main reason that MQM only have SOME support in Khi and few parts of Sindh

IF MQM REMOVE ALTAF from Party then MQM can becoming far bigger party than what it is right now. Other wise it will remain a blackmailer party

So my advice to MQM is throw out Altaf ;)

الطاف حسین کو برطرف کرنے کا مشورہ دینے والے سب ہی متحدہ کے خلاف سازشیں کرنے والے مخالفین نہیں ہیں، بلکہ کچھ خلوص دل سے یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ایسا ہونا متحدہ کے لیے بہتر ہو سکتا ہے۔ ان مخلصیں کا نیک مشورہ سر آنکھوں پر۔ مگر میں بطور متحدہ سپورٹر یہ سمجھتی ہوں کہ الطاف حسین صاحب کو موجود رہنا چاہیے اور اسکے فوائد اس سے کہیں زیادہ ہیں کہ ان کے خلاف سازش کر کے انہیں ہٹا دیا جائے۔

مجھے جیسی عام سپورٹر کے علاوہ جو رابطہ کمیٹی کے اراکین ہیں یا جو ٹاپ عہدوں پر فائز ہیں، میں سمجھتی ہوں کہ انکی وفاداریاں بھی الطاف حسین صاحب سے بہت زیادہ مضبوط ہیں اور یہ سوال بہت ناممکن ہے کہ انکی طرف سے سامنے آ سکے۔

متحدہ کے قائدین کے علاوہ کراچی کی عوام بذات خود الطاف حسین سے انتہائی محبت کرتی ہے۔ اہلیانِ کراچی کی نظروں میں آج کا بوڑھا الطاف حسین نہیں ہے، بلکہ وہ اسے الطاف حسین صاحب کی جوانی سے جانتے ہیں کہ جب وہ ایک بہترین مقرر اور جوشیلے لیڈر تھے اور انکی تقریر سننے کے لیے لاکھوں لوگوں کا مجمع جمع ہوتا تھا۔


مجھے نہیں علم کہ الطاف حسین کو ہٹا کو کونسا ایسا لیڈر ہے جو انکے مقام پر آنے کی کوشش کر سکتا ہے۔ مصطفی کمال بذات خود الطاف حسین صاحب کی مہربانی کی وجہ سے میئر بنے تھے۔ ناممکنات میں سے ہے کہ مصطفی کمال کبھی الطاف حسین کو ہٹا کر خود لیڈر بننے کے بارے میں سوچیں۔

حیدر عباس رضوی صاحب کو عشق کی حد تک اپنے لیڈر سے عقیدت ہے اور اسکا وہ بارہا اظہار کر چکے ہیں اور جہاں تک میں انسانوں کو پہچاننے کا ڈھنگ رکھتی ہوں تو ناممکن ہے کہ حیدر عباس رضوی صاحب کبھی راضی ہو سکیں کہ الطاف حسین کو ہٹا کر وہ لیڈر بنیں۔

فیصل سبزواری کے متعلق بھی مجھے یقین ہے کہ وہ کبھی ایسا نہیں سوچ سکتے۔

May be, MQM workers want AH so that they can reciprocate his 'favors':). However, i want MQM to mend its ways and remove stigma of fear and oppression from its face. MQM should consider the legitimate apprehensions of ppl of Pakistan and try to solve these objections with concrete and practical steps. Moreover, i fear that if AH is out, there will be a never ending gang war between different MQM factions. The day, MQM gets 10-15 MNA seats outside Sindh, they will have to show restraint in Karachi.

What is the definition of a leader for you a Murderer?

Altaf has kept MQM together by exercising terror in the heart of his own political leaders and workers. He has kept it together by eliminating any one who dared to disagree with him and tried to create another block outside or inside the party to oppose insane Altaf Hussain. Murders of prominent figures in MQM are enough examples of us to understand fully how MQM is kept together by AH. Recent example of Murder of Dr. Imran is case in point. We are sure his killer(s) would not be apprehended, not even by Scotland Yard.

I agree with you on this point though, AH has kept MQM together, and I am sure if he is not there, MQM will be split and become ineffective. In this analysis I dont agree with many brothers here. A party which has come in to being with the help of enemies of Pakistan, kept together by an insane murderer couldnt survive without him, it bound to split up. Who knows how many simmering rivalries are inside MQM but these people keep quite, they have seen Dr. Imrans example recently, they would be fool to follow the same path.

Good suggestion, throw Altaf Hussain out. Declare yourself Pakistani not Muhajir. Face all trials in Courts before and after NRO. Stop putting political pressure on Gov. as way to deal on crimes. Establish new Halqa Bandi in Karachi for votings that minorities voice comes out and not engineered as it is since MQM was born. If so accept that 60% people in Karachi are Muhajir than where is the voice of 40% minority of Karachi?

Karachi ki (current and since years made) Intikhabi Halqa Bandi is a crime. Which violates all rules of Human rights. Non Muhajir areas are divided and connected to Muhajir Majority areas so what ever happens Muhajir candidate wins the Seat. I was born in Karachi but not Muhajir, i have visited DJ Science college in Karachi and i know how MQM was behaving students in 90's. One of the best colleges in Karachi and the Ghunda's of MQM demoralized students every way they could, when they didn't obey them. Kidnapping of Students with Revolver force at Busstops on Bunsroad (in front of me), what you think you can make all Pakistanis fool??? Did you ever speak for the rights of Minorities in Karachi?? How many Jobs MQM offered to them. ********.

MQM could be a great party if youth of karachi stop obeying Ghunda Badshah, faces trials, Stops terror/ Bhatta and reform Party Structure.

Very good post. However i would like to add that Farooq Sattar was one of the first members of APMSO. In fact i think he helped write the charter. To think of him replacing Altaf Hussain is impossible.

Faisal Sabzwari is a very junior leader. Till 5 years ago, i think, he was APMSO chairman, his rise through the party has been meteoric but he will never be accepted as MQM leader.

And you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Imran farooq was killed by Altaf Hussain?? If not, then best not state these things as facts. It only creates more hate, in me for example, for you.

MQM was created out of nothing, some students got together and decided to fight for their rights and those same students still are fighting, not for their own but everyones rights. People have been trying to break up MQM since the day it was created, in its birth MQM was revolutionary, challenged a lot of standing ideas. Which obviously brought it into conflict with the establishment and its most powerful tool the army.

However saying that i must also add that MQM has matured now and is not so anti-establishment now.

My friend lots of MQM leaders have retired from the party and continue to lead normal, peaceful lives.

Where have you been the past 10 years?? MQM has changed a lot from the 90s. Has become more mature i would say. MQM now, after Mustufa Kamal, has the support of nearly half of the non urdu speaking population of the city, as well as the substantial minority population of the city. If you read these past few days news reports, MQM were the only party to hold a memorial service for shehbaz bhatti. And they did it multiple times. Oh and minorities hold a very high number of jobs in the local government, jobs given to them by Mustufa Kamal.

As the halqa bandi goes, same is the case all over the country why single out only Karachi? This is the kind of impartial treatment that created the MQM in the first place.

If you went to DJ college you would also know that DJ was (and still is) a fort of IJT and you cant really expect APMSO students to do that kind, or any kind, of activity there...
