I think MQM needs to know whats a meaning of Muhajir. Muhajir means people who take temp shelter and wants to go back home. Now they will give refference to Hijrats of Hazrat Muhammad pbuh to Habsha and Madina. In both Cases pbuh came back to Makah with his followers and lot of them settle back in Makah as well lot of them decide to make Madina as their homeland. So my question to all MQM freaks is
DID YOU GUYS ACCEPT PAKISTAN AS YOUR HOMELAND OR YOU HAVE A PLAN TO SETTLE BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM? IF YOU DECIDE TO MAKE PAKISTAN YOUR HOMELAND THEN YOU ARE NOT MUHAJIR IN ANY SENSE AND IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK THEN YES YOU ARE.
In both cases terrorist activities will never help you and the leader you follow is the one who is stabing on your back.

His tenure as Chief of Army Staff was ended abruptly by his death on 8 January 1993, apparently from a heart attack. He suffered the heart attack while he was jogging near his home in Rawalpindi. He is widely remembered as having died under mysterious circumstances. He was replaced by General Abdul Waheed Kakar as the next Army Chief.

I had to leave the country due to this party of terrorists. Try being a successful punjabi (or a so called non-mohajir) in karachi without paying them and guess whats your reward?????
yes.......it is being a third class citizen thrown away by your motherland since you wish to see your family and kids alive.
i dont need any convincing on their real faces and neither do their blind followers. But the fact of the matter is thT most of their followers are migrants from the bangladesh era or those that still idenify themselves to an indian city and have much more more cultural variants than what we see from outside when we tag them as urdu speakers.
Had they belonged to single cast or region etc, surely they would have chosen widely but these smaller segregated groups, having being thrown out in recent past have an innate fear of losing their possesions once more and that fear of materiality has now transcended to a general sense of non belongingnes. Additionally, they are trained to call themselves urdu speakers and are taught to cry foul for no reason at all and use a fake storyline to justify their incompetence by MQM and this means that these followers remain scared and consequently blind followers.
Havent you ever wondered why in the world is it that only in MQM gatherings, people are so hush quiet and listening to that idiot (via sattelite) as if he was a prophet? They will say that it is because they are educated. Infact they are all scared, bunch of cowards.
Compare their gathering to PTI one in lahore or in karachi. Hum tau jaahil hee behtar hain mian.

Even though I am not a supporter of MQM or want to be called Mohajir I would like to respond - but I belong to the group you are addressing here.
I believe you are getting too technical with not much effect. Contrary to what you would you like to believe the reality is that Pakistanis are mired in all sort of identities based on ethnicity, language, tribes, biradaries, etc etc. The people who migrated to Pakistan at the time of Partition largely didn't belong to a contiguous group. They were from different parts of regions now part of India and other than the language they didn't have anything common. They didn't pick this term to be identified - if you do some research on this topic you would find that the documents are replete with this term being used for people who made that decision to adopt a new country. Largely due to differentiate themselves from the tribal and ethnically focused indigenous peoples of Pakistan. Since there were no other terms to identify this large group of people except for some derogatory ones used by the locals the term mohajir stuck. Its not a very technical term but whatever was available and used at the time was carried on by people.
Have you seen those confession of target killers - did you notice the interrogator insistently asking question about the "zaat" - its the norm to use a term to identify as is the norm. If you go to any place in Pakistan you will asked where are you from - people want to know whether you are a punjabi/sindhi/baloch/pathan/seraiki/urdu-speaking and once they establish the larger association they try to pry into more specifics based on region/tribes/biradaree etc.
As with any people adversity brings them closer and sometime unite under a term or arrangement even if they belong to disparate backgrounds and communities as is the case with urdu speaking population of urban sindh. No one is planning to go anywhere - I am sure many will be disappointed but we are a reality and are here to stay ;-)
