Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) official said today that the KKF (Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation) had established five relief camps for flood victims across the Punjab. MQM Central Punjab Information Secretary Umer Pirzada said it has established camps in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Sialkot. He said MQM activists are collecting relief items for the benefit of flood victims.
He said the consignment of relief goods, worth several hundred thousand rupees, has been sent for the affected areas of Punjab, The consignment contains ration for a month for each family affected by the flood. The ration contains flour, rice, pulses, edible oil, tea, powdered milk and other commodities of household use. Pirzada has said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s political objective was not to attain power but to serve humanity. He said that no other party has contributed to the relief efforts more vigorously than the MQM.
