A Patron of Cricket is just a Patron. The meaning of which is the one who gives support - financial or any other variety. Like a Patron of the Arts. Do not elevate a Patron to a position where He/She is responsible for the sport. You all must love Nawaz Sharif a lot to give him such high stature. I keep a Patron a Patron. Perhaps you let emotions speak more than reason.

Exactly, but he is not playing the role of that position...it is more than that....
which other playing country has the same kind of appointments as that of Pakistan.....we have two chief's of the board, Sheryar and Najam.....
What they have to do with cricket? .... other than we all know....
In our cricket people are getting selected at the age of 33+.... while in other countries that's where they start thinking about quitting cricket....
what kind of structure do we have in the country for cricket? other than parchee system? ... merit only plays 2 to 3 % role here....
I can go on and on.... but things are pretty obvious here specially when our team cannot produce a single batsman who we can depend on as a consistent batsman... double ton in first innings and then 0 in the next...
likewise team will win one game and then we have to wait for several matches so that we win another one......
Look man. Whatever things you say is true; however I think the problem is much larger than just simply changing people or even the system. I have said many times, the problem with Pakistan is Pakistanis. I have spoken to old pre-partition cricket lovers who are now Pakistanis to anybody who has been following Pakistani cricket since its inception. They all say the same thing; Pakistani batting ALWAYS sucked. And the only reason today it sucks a LOT more is because the world has moved on; Improved. While Pakistan has regressed. Cricket is no longer a game of chance; its now like every major sport, carefully studied. Strategies are made. Each opponent carefully dissected and analyzed. Do you seriously think even our Bowlers are capable of so much analytical thought? Yasir Shah got Shane Warne singing his tunes, but Yasir Shah has major issues to this day. Mohammad Amir another bowler who on the world stage just looks half decent. Our bowling attack sucks. Our Batting always sucked. Even if you bring 24 year old Wasim and Waqar back today into the Pakistani team, even they can't do as well against Today's batsmen.
Cricket has now better and tougher opponents. And Pakistan simply has been outclassed in this sport. Just like how its happened in Hockey. And this is just about the team. Even if you look at PCB, even that has been outclassed by our more sound cricketing boards. The Pakistani Cricket team is a direct reflection of how the Pakistani mindset is. Shortcuts. The Only way Pakistani cricket will ever improve is if the other countries cricket regresses. That's the short of it all. There is No amount of restructuring you can do. No amount of changing people around you can do. The only REAL solution is a long term solution that changes a Pakistani mindset that has been ingrained into EVERY Pakistani since Pakistan's inception. Talent Alone now gets you nothing. Imran's a talented guy. Honest guy. But even he can't do jack about anything because he is not Competent. He too suffers from the same Pakistani frailties that ALL of us Pakistanis suffer. Give it up. Cricket in Pakistan will NEVER improve.

a very big disappointment. sharjeel playing a test match also do not make sense, it will only spoil him.he is a short format star.
