I like hanif Abbasi but today he was totally off track,he should not have said many things which he said today.First of all, where he did his P.hd in politics which he is criticising others for not knowing the politics. He said the journalists dont know the problems of poor people-come on man, why dont you raise this issue in parliament but why would you that because you are friendly opposition, second in command waiting for your turn.Mr.Abbasi did you raise the issue of big landlords, corrupt politicians, fake degrees and parliamentarians took the plots.why dont you raise the issue of khanani and *****,who transferred billions of dollars out of the country and who did, name them. You did't because most of those who transferred the money were from your party-if you dont believe ,ask for investigation and you will find the truth. There are flaws definately in 18th amendment and need to rectify them-whats wrong with that.Make 19th amendment and do the change ,whats a big deal.who did't make the changes in the constitution.By the way dont talk about the parliamentarians, most of them are corrupt and dishonest-this is general perception of the public.if you dont believe,go to the sadr bazar and talk to the people. If you are honest that does't mean, all of the mna's and mpa's are honest .I hope you got my point.Media is doing its best job to bring awareness to the people and the govt about the problems in the country.

is it a political discussion or fish market?

Although the participants were somewhat shouting but there was also some element of frustration. This is due the fact that Nawaz Sharif is really and truly playing the role of a friendly opposition. Only few weeks ago Nawaz Sharif was calling Asif Zardari a real danger for democracy. But now after the signing of 18th Amendment, Nawaz Sharif is now confident that he can now become the PM for the third time, so he has decided to side-lined himself self and give Zardari a clear path for the next 3 years. There appears to be deal between both Leaders that when Nawaz Sharif will come into power, he will not open the cases of NRO.

The UNO Report has changed the whole scenario as it does not put blame on any body. Zardari & Co is feeling very comfortatble and also there is no public reaction. There is a little bit of Sindhi element is also creeping from Sindhi Voter that, OK Benazir was Sindhi but so far as Zardari remains in the top post, this is quite acceptable to Sindhi awam. I think this is totally wrong thinking and I have particulary noticed from Sindhi awam that ‘they’ are not pressing ahead for inquiry into Benazir murder.

It is now all upto Naheed Khan (and Safdar Abbasi, Ch Mohd Aslam, Raja Shahid Zafar, Gen Ahsaan) should come out on the streets. Otherwise the moment Zardari feel that Naheed Khan & Co are causing some concern to him, he will offer some top post to Naheed Khan & Co. At present its free for all, and I agree with Ansar Abbasi that there is no voice raised.
The pro-Zardari writers will come out say that there was a shouting match in todays programme, but Zardari is taking a lot of comfort that there is no reaction from the public against Load Shedding. I have to say that in the recent bye-elections by not voting for Imran Khan (and JI) the Pakistani public has once again made the wrong choice. Nawaz Sharif is just as bad as Zardari, and by keeping quiet at this critical moment, Nawaz Sharif is putting the whole Supreme Court in deep trouble. Nawaz Sharif must realize that people like Ch Ifitkhar are not born every day, this Ch Iftikhar is ONE IN MILLION.

DSP Saud Aziz has given the reasons why the crime scene was immediately washed, and this explanation has been very sweetly accepted by the supporters of People Party. There was clearly an element of deep frustration and the closing remarks of Dr Shahid Masood were really to the point that there was nothing agreed and perhaps this stupid, jahil and junglee Awam can not make its mind, we will go on electing fake degree holders.

I fully agree with Hanif Abbasi some ‘lifafa’ journalists who are sitting in air-conditioned homes really don’t know the problems of a common man. I can quote here only four days ago when Nusrat Javed appeared as a ‘Guest’ host in the programme ‘Hasb e Haal’, he very strongly defended that the compulsory condition for being a Graduate to become Parliamentarion should be scrapped, believe me Nusrat Javed really and truly looked like a ‘Lifafa’ Journalists. Also many times we read comments here that Najam Sethi, Nazir Naji, Imtiaz Alam really project Zardari in a very cheap manner.

Unless the public does not come onto streets and start agitation, there is no –one who could dislodge Zardari. Our PM is now totally impotent and Zardari is the root cause of all problems. Nawaz Sharif life can only be made difficult unless there is some backlash against Zardari.

I used to enjoy this program in the past. But more and more I note it has become a shouting match between frustrated old men. They all speak at the same time and Shahid Masood has no control over them, because he cannot control his own bias mouth.

Is it to much to ask for basic manners. One question for one man at a time. The others should all shut up, including the host.

It is very important for Dr Shahid Masaood to go back to his old Programme format, as of now, it seems Dr Shahid himself become patience less and lost control of show.

Parliament,Judiciary and Executive should have balance of power and a system of check and balances that should ensure the transparency even if a corrupt person somehow becomes their head. Parliament has lots of flaws but perhaps that is the only institution that is being criticized and discussed in detail and rightly so as they have huge responsibilities. According to my knowledge, only 25% of our budget is with the MNA's/MPA's and yes, I agree, there should be strict accountability of that.

Some Media people give an impression to me that Media and Judiciary are not doing anything wrong. The credibility of media also comes under question when I see that Media has not done any program about the tax returns etc of the media giants in Pakistan.

As a Pakistani, I already have seen enough chaos after giving extra powers to the institute of army and therefore, I would very much like a system of checks and balances and it should be demanded by the civil society and advocated by Media. If today, we have CJ who is honest and follows the code of conduct, does that ensure that in future we won t have any one with personal agenda? There should be a system, a mechanism about the appointments of judges as that would ensure the continuity of freedom that we all want Judiciary to have. Media and the civil society, they should both have joined hands to ask for the same over sight in other key appointments as this would have been a great service to Pakistan. Unfortunately, they are advocating to remove this over sight rather than expanding it.

After the current decision of Supreme court that rightly cancelled the promotions ordered by PM, I don t see that the CJ would want to have the same discretion that constitution does not provide to the PM. And, I am in favor of making changes in the constitution that do not give discretion to any single person being PM, CM, CJ etc.

Therefore, I believe there won t be any clash between the judiciary and parliament. And, our policies should not be person specific, rather should be aimed at increasing the transparency in the system.rather than person

Education hasn’t even changed anything in these personalities. Opposition for the sake of opposition and bottom line results zero so at the end of the day normal living people will have to suffer.
Democracy is ONLY for sensible nations who has a clue of integrity, dedication and honesty.

This was expected from PMLN. They know that Judiciary is eventually going to come after them as well. If PMLN wanted, Zardari would have been gone long ago but now they want him to finish their full "5 years term" :17:

"Iss Hummam Mein Sab Nangey Hein"

They both don't want Judiciary to be independent. PMLN is now slowly but gradually showing their true colors.

Coming to Shahid Masood, he seems extremely Impatience and "baichain" lately. Has anyone else noticed that or is it just me?
