Manawan police training school attacker acquitted

Hijratullah has been acquitted by the Lahore High Court.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has acquitted Hijratullah, the main accused in the Manawan police training school attack.

The court of Justice Arshad Masood has acquitted Hijratullah. He was sentenced to ten years in prison for possession of arms but has been acquitted of further charges.

Hijratullah had earlier denied involvement in the attack and had said he was arrested merely because he was present in the area.

Its not courts' fault brother, our prosecution is weak. They cant provide enough proofs to the court and courts decide on basis of given proofs.

It is so pathetic to read comments like that.Police and security authorities never grabed the actual culprits who managed to scape. in this case, he was caught bacuse of his ethnicity and because he was in the area looking for some old recycled items and picking them from the ground. There was no proof of his involvement and no weapons were proven to be found from his possesion.

I will agree with sakayani brother that it is not fault of courts it is fault of investigation agencies, courts need evidence.

Dear please seee ehsanali's earlier post you will get the idea. and I am not mixing up things I already told you that the major flaw is with investigation agencies, courts can't convict without evidence. and it is the job of agencies to provide credible evidence.

Now who is to blame? Did the law enforcement agencies apprehend a terrorist or someone innocent? Or was the prosecution to darn lazy to present any credible evidence? Every acquittal of an alleged terrorist is disheartening for if he is guilty then justice has failed, and if he was innocent then we did attach the stigma of being a terrorist on him.
Many of us are now questioning the courts neutrality and they say the courts favor the militants, they cite the case of LaL-Masjid cleric who was given a clean chit by the courts, then Lasker-toiba head Hafiz Saeed is set free. The prosecution needs to get its act straight as we cannot allow the terrorist to roam around freely.
