Malik rules out military operation in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday said the media should not label any and every murder in Karachi as a target killing.

No murder should be labelled as a target killing unless CCPO Karachi confirms it, television reports quoted Malik as saying.

Malik said 25 suspected terrorists had been apprehended from Karachi this month.

Speaking to media representatives, Malik said an attempt to transport a large quantity of illegal arms to Karachi was foiled by law enforcement agencies.

Malik said arms were being brought to Pakistan from Afghanistan and that the government had lodged a written protest with the government of Afghanistan on the issue.

Responding to a question regarding Karachi, Malik ruled out a military operation in Karachi. He, however, said that the army would be sent wherever the need arises.

MQM create jobs for rest of the Pakistan in Karachi, We need workforce from other part of Pakistan and we invite them to come and work and send money to your towns same as your come to USA but people come from other part of Paksitan create problems like ANP, Punjabis, Pathan, They should give respect and get respect. americans are killing them in Northen Paksitan and they take revenge in Karachi. What a shame for those pathan and Punjabis, Why you are killing MQM people, WE are doing our best to create jobs and invite you to come in city of Karachi to work not create problems
