Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that Malik Riaz has got himself in deep trouble by conspiring against Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudary.
Addressing a rally in Islamabad Monday, Imran Khan lashed out at the business tycoon, calling him “Riaz Bahria” and “Zardari’s business partner”.
Imran Khan said that President Zardari followed the precedent of former President Pervez Musharraf by conspiring against the country’s top judiciary through Malik Riaz.
“You [Malik Riaz] will be punished more severely than Musharraf,” Imran Khan said.
Imran Khan said that his party will not let the government to sabotage the verdicts of the country’s Supreme Court. He asked the members of PTI to prepare for ”Tsunami March” if the government refuses to abide by the decisions of the Supreme Court in the near future.
Imran Khan called on Malik Riaz to disclose names of politicians, generals and media persons who were bribed by him.
“Malik Riaz can buy anyone, but not Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf,” Imran Khan stressed.
Karachi rally
Imran Khan strongly condemned violent measures of Sindh Government to stop party activists from holding a rally in Karachi to express solidarity with the judiciary
He said that the Sindh Police resorted to violence to prevent the party from exercising its fundamental democratic right.
PTI workers had gathered at Zainab Market to stage a rally to express solidarity with the judiciary.
Police resorted to baton charge and water cannon in order to disperse the participants of the rally.
Dozens of PTI workers and senior leaders, including Dr Arif Alvi, were later taken into custody by the police.
