The Lahore High Court (LHC) has instructed the government to import lie detection machines. The machines would assist the LHC during the proceeding of case involving foreign assets of 23 important individuals of the country.
The applicant informed the court that the order of LHC to import lie detection machines was not executed by the concerned authorities.
The Deputy Attorney General informed the court that the government lacked funds to import these machines. However, LHC court instructed that necessary funds should be immediately allocated for the import of these machines. The hearing of the case has been suspended for indefinite period.
They way people, witnesses, criminals, prosecutors are, it essential that we use all available technology in determining who is lying and who is a credible witness. However in a society where corruption has reached all time high - from supreme court to the local city govt - my fear is that this polygraph test will be abused. It can be used by the officials against their adversaries.

I am in favor of this lie detecting device but if can only be kept under lock n key of the courts but we know IT WOULDNT BE POSSIBLE as courts are corrupt too.
