Asalam u Alikum,

Last year I went for Eid prayer and made some notes while listening to the Eid Khutba.
The purpose of these notes was to serve a reminder. I would like to share SOME of these notes, I made, hope it helps.
May ALLAH swt blesses us with his Rehmaa and forgives all our sins:

If i made any mistakes in my notes i ask ALLAH swt to forgive me as it wasnt my intention.

Layelatul Jaiza

Please Do NOT waste this blessed night in necessary activities and I hope all of you make the best use of this blessed night by praying and remembering ALLAH swt.

Also PLEASE do remember to pray for all our brothers and sisters who have passed away and who are going through difficult times in their lives.

May ALLAH swt bless our Duas with unlimited Rehmaa. AMEEN, SUMA AMEEN!!

Night of Reward (Lailatul Jaiza)

September 7, 2010 at 11:09pm
The Night Preceding 'Eid-ul-Fitr' (special significance)

It had been the practice of the Prophet, Sall-All ahu alayhi wa sallam, that he would not sleep in the night preceding the day of Eid-ul-fitr. This night has been named in a Hadith as the Night of Reward (Lailatul Jaiza). Almighty bestows his rewards on those who have spent the month of Ramadan abiding by the dictates of Shari'ah, and all their prayers in this night are accepted. Therefore, it is desirable to perform nafl prayers in this night. The Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, is reported to have said:

Whoever stands up (in worship) in the nights preceding the two Eids expecting rewards from his Lord, his heart will not die when the other hearts will die. (Ibn Majah)

To benefit from this opportunity, one should perform as much worship in this night as he can, and should pray for all his needs and desires. The Night Preceding 'Eid-ul-Fitr'It had been the practice of the Prophet, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, that he would not sleep in the night preceding the day of Eid-ul-fitr.
