In the recent years, a long line of men has undergone hair transplant surgeries to treat their baldness. This includes celebrities as well. However, coming back to the point, there have been a few mishaps in the past and these surgeries don’t provide you any guarantee as to what effect it is going to have on you once you’re gone through the process.

Hair transplant advertisements sure lure the patients into getting the treatment at very low prices but the patients fail to realize that there are so many risk factors that are involved. Just recently, an Army Officer, Captain Khurram Tariq, ex 62 Baloch Regt, underwent a hair transplant surgery in a private hospital in Lahore and due to medical complications, after the surgery, Captain Khurram lost his life.

HERE’S HOW THE STORY WAS REPORTED:

" Extremely sad to inform you that on 131100 Sep 17, PA 52331 Capt Khurram Tariq ex 62 Baloch Regt has died in CMH Lhr due to medical complications after hair implantation. RIP The offr had undergone hair implantation from pvt hospital on 11 Sep 17 while on lve. The offr is unmd and eldest in sibling order. He has 3 x sis and parents alive. …. May God rest his soul in Jannah. Aamee"

Although hair transplant is a safe procedure with fewer chances of death, it is also important to understand that hair transplant is a surgical process and requires highly skilled professionals to perform the surgery. Let’s all remember Captain Khurram Tariq in our prayers and may Allah give patience to his family to bear this loss.

The problem in Pakistan is that every tom d!ck and harry is a plastic surgeon. It is a very specialised field and it needs lots of expertise too. But i noticed that in Pakistan normal surgeons are doing hair transplants without doing important blood tests before the surgery.

There are several hair transplants centres which provide hair transplants services but still, there are no such quality services provided by the such community. There are several NGOs in Pakistan working to provide healthcare services. The government should make a strong check on the these clinical centres to avoid further loss.
