I wonder What PTI would have done if they had Government in the Center. But i guess it was a nice chance to get a government at lower level to make them more stable and put them in more good position to be judged by the country in the next General elections.

Tribesmen extend unconditional support to forces

PESHAWAR: A representative Jirga of tribesmen hailing from Landi Kotal was convened here in the cantonment to discuss the overall law and order situation of the area and to take up problems faced by the tribesmen with the new Commandant Frontier Corps (FC).

Scores of elders and Maliks of Shinwari, Afridi and Shelmani tribes besides Commandant Frontier Corps (FC) Col Mansoor Janjua, Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landi kotal, Tayyab Abdullah were among the participants.

While addressing the jirga Col Mansoor expressed his great amusement to be part of the tribal Jirga of tribesmen and said, the tribesmen of Khyber have fought shoulder by shoulder with their forces in Wars of Kashmir, 1965 and 1971 against Indian armies and have laid their lives for the honor of their country. A very good decision to call back the troops. We do not want our people in the region to feel oppressed by the soldiers. If they are not needed then call them back!

its good move and its job of police and FC plus very good intelligence appratus i think army will remain on border posts but inside they will go back to theior respective garrisons time to provice and civi to take care of bussiness

Bangish sb u r spot on i think borders posts will remain by army like indian side we have but they will pull out from cities and pump that training and equipment to FC and police i beleive it was total job of police and FC at beging in swat area but thanks to mullah diesal govt that made fazlullah bold enough to take on this time its IK inshaalh it wont happen again Fazlullah should know they r history
