JI rejected Imran Khan call: Civil disobendience is Treason
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Inayatullah Khan Tuesday said the provincial government will not exercise civil disobedience called by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
“Not paying electricity bills and other dues would be considered as act of treason,” KP senior minister said while talking to media.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who continued his sit-in in the red zone of Islamabad against vote fraud in last year general elections, had appealed the nation to observe civil disobedience to mount pressure on the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign.
Inayatullah Khan said that government institutions could not function against the state.
Replying a question about forward block in PTI, the senior minister said that he read some news in the media, adding that he personally doesn’t know anything about that.
He said that the Jamat e Islami is not participated in PTI-led sit-in, however he added that the party supports constitutional demands.
“We are making our efforts for political reconciliation,” he said. -Samaa
