وزیر اعلیٰ پرویز خٹک کی قیادت میں صوبائی حکومت کی ذاتی اور خصوصی دلچسپی کے نتیجے میں خیبر پختو نخواہ تیل و گیس پیدا کرنے والاسب سے بڑاصوبہ بن چکا ہے بتایا گیا ہے کہ خیبر پختونخواہ ملکی پیداوار کا 57%فیصدتیل پیدا کررہا ہے ۔موجودہ حکومت نے اگلے چند سالوں میں تیل کی پیداوار کو 200,000بیرل یومیہ تک لے جانے کا ہدف مقرر کر رکھا ہے اور یہی بات تیل درآمد کرنے والے مافیا کی آنکھوں میں کھٹک رہی ہے کہ آنے والے دنوں میں تیل کی مزید پیداوار بڑھنے سے انکا کمیشن کم ہو جائے گا۔

درآمدی مافیا اس منصوبے پربھی عمل پیرا ہے کہ صوبائی ووفاقی حکومتوں کوتیل و گیس کی مد میں اربوں روپے کی متوقع آمدن و بچت کو روک سکے یہاں یہ بات بھی قابل ذکر ہے کہ وزیر اعلیٰ کی ذاتی معاونت اور مانیٹرنگ کی بدولت سول انتظامیہ ہر سطح پر متحرک ہو چکی ہے اور تیل و گیس کی تلاش کرنے والی ملکی و غیر ملکی کمپنیوں کی سکیورٹی، غیر ملکی ماہرین اور سرمایہ کاروں کی حفاظت کو یقینی بنانے کے لئے ہمہ وقت کوشاں ہے مزید برآں صوبائی حکومت ان ماہرین اور سرمایہ کاروں کی سکیورٹی کے لئے خصوصی دستے بھی تشکیل دے رہی ہے جو تکمیل کے آخری مراحل میں ہیں جس پر ایک خطیر رقم خرچ کی جا رہی ہے ۔ان تمام پالیسیوں کی بدولت صوبہ دن دُگنی رات چوگنی ترقی کی منزل کی طرف گامزن ہے۔ موجودہ دور حکومت میں متعدد ملکی اور غیر ملکی کمپنیاں نے مختلف بلاکس میں مزید سرمایہ کاری بھی کی ہے اور ان ایکسپلوریشن بلاکس میں ابتدائی سروے کی سرگرمیاں بھی شروع ہو چکی ہیں۔

نوٹ:۔ مجھے پکا یقین ہے کہ اگر نورے نے کبھی کرک یا کے پی کا دورہ کیا تو وہ یہ کریڈٹ بھی لینے کی کوشش کریگا۔

Pakistan has produced a record high 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil recently after oil and gas exploration companies expedited efforts to find new deposits of hydrocarbons to increase their share in local consumption.

“Oil production is meeting 20% of local demand,” said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources.

OGDC’s crude oil production reaches new height

The remainder 80% demand is met through imported crude oil and finished petroleum products.

Local production was reportedly hovering below 90,000 bpd in November. This was standing at 87,000 bpd in the previous fiscal year ended June 30, 2016 and 95,000 bpd in the year before. The decline in production in fiscal year 2015-16 (FY16) was seen after oil producing firms put on hold their projects under the then prevailing steep low oil prices in the world market.

State-owned Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) was maintaining the highest reserves of oil and gas in the country, as its share in local crude oil production stands above 50%. “OGDC has surpassed 50,000 bpd production last month [November],” Abbasi added.

Most of the new discoveries of oil and gas deposits were made in the provinces of Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in recent months.

The minister said some of the local refineries have also upgraded quality of their products in line with international standards. “[Local] refineries are now producing RON90, which is three grades higher than RON87 that they were producing until recently,” he said.

Khattak is good at dance and that is what he can do not something bringing investment. give credit where it is due and stop fooling pootians by abusing others. There would already be a refinery in Kohat or Karak but Fed govt does't give NOC to investers. I think one Arabic company had got one.

This gas goes to National grid which is distributed by Sui northern and it is again under the control of Fed gov. It would be similar that the gas from Sui had reached Islamabad but Quetta had no gas.

Govt to offer 32 oil and gas exploration blocks this year
said the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources is in the process to award 32 new blocks to oil and gas exploration companies, operating in the country.

The clearance process has been initiated for award of 32 more exploration blocks to E&P Companies through bidding process,” sources said.

The government, under the petroleum policy 2012, had already awarded 46 blocks for oil and gas discoveries.

Besides, sources said the ministry had also awarded 70 Supplemental Agreements (SAs) for conversion to Petroleum Concessions Agreements (PCAs) aimed at expediting oil and gas exploration activities in various potential areas of the country.

“As many as 70 Sas, covering 94 leases have been executed while remaining applications are also being reviewed and finalised on a fast track basis,” they added.

Sources said Petroleum Exploration and Production Policy 2012, as amended in July 2013, provided an incentive to existing licence lease holders for the conversion.

“The agreements had been finalised in consultation with all stakeholders including from the petroleum sector as well as ministries of finance and ministry of waw and justice,” sources said.

The sources said licences of all oil and gas companies, failing to start exploration work as per their obligations would be revoked.

“The government had tightened the noose around non performing E&P companies, having the licences and revoked around 16 such permits recently,” they added.

They said that the action was being taken against the inactive E&P companies holding licences for last several years without any ground work.

“Licenses were not canceled instantly rather such companies were given notices and provided an opportunity to present their cases and all process was completed in a transparent manner before revoking licences,” sources said.

The government has been on a drive to lure foreign investors to its energy sector in an effort to address growing energy demand. But attracting exploration investment has become increasingly difficult as global oil prices have tumbled over the past two years.

Petroluem minister last month said the country received an investment of Rs1.6 trillion in oil and gas exploration sector during a short span of time.

A total of 82 oil and gas discoveries were made during the last three fiscal years.

The production from 45 out of 82 discoveries had already been started, whereas necessary work over 37 discoveries was being carried out by exploration and production companies.

The country is a net energy importer and local production meets only 15 percent demand at 100,000 bpd.
