Mr Pervez Khattak, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will perform ground breaking ceremony of 40.8 MW Koto Hydropower Project, District Dir (Lower)
Koto Hydropower project is located on Panjkora river upstream of Timergara town in Distt: Dir (Lower). Salient features and status of the project is;
Name of River : Panjkora
Location : Near Timergara
Discharge : 126 Cusecs
Head : 38 Meters
Capacity : 40.8 MW
Tunnel Length : 1.76 Km
Energy : 205 Gwh
Revised cost of project : Rs: 14.765 Billion
Approximate revenue per annum : Rs: 1.970 Billion @Rs. 9.62 per unit
Completion : Dec 2018

any 1 can plz inform k ye jo dams kpk gov bana rahi he iski production national grid mein jae gi ya provincial gov isko apne province mein use ker sakti he? as per my understanding provincial gov can only use it for province if the production is less than 50megawatt. any idea?

Yes National Grid. Patwari producing expensive electricity in Punjab while PTI cheaper in KPK but both will go to national Grid and then KPK will buy at much more expensive rate than what it cost to produce electricity in KPK while Punjab will buy at cheaper rate than the actual rate it produces.

And then Punjabi ask why smaller provinces complains about Punjab.

so could someone give me a proper answer, is this project solely for people of KPK?

I just read a post that states it will go back too national grid and they will then sell it back to KPK govt, what is the point of doing this project if it does not benefit people in KPK?

Will it be cheaper for people in KPK?
