Karachi: The officials at Rangers claimed that the armed force was arresting the ‘sector in charges’ and ‘unit in charges’ of Mutahhida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on the charges of its associated Tanzeemi committee being involved in ‘organizing a militant wing’.
The claims as apparent were rejected by the officials at MQM on this Sunday, criticizing the morale of the Rangers Official, even went on to issue a statement saying that ‘the body they were talking about had been dismantled a long time ago’.
In response to the allegations directed by the MQM Chief Atalf Hussain in which he profoundly stated that the Rangers have turned Sindh into an occupied territory and that they were treating the confined members of the party as prisoners of war, the Rangers issued a counter statement late on Saturday night claiming that the root of operation was to target and apprehend the criminal elements and not any specific political, religious and ethnic group.
Furthermore, the statement stated the operation was administered against the militant wings of these groups and criminals.
However, the officials at Rangers alleged the MQM’s Tanzeemi committee of organising and maintaining a militant wing and said that, “therefore its [MQM] sector in charges and unit in charges are being arrested”.
The statement further went on to claim that those arrested are being provided with their legal rights and produced before “magistrate/court at the earliest”. Some of those who were apprehended earlier surrendered themselves voluntarily.
