Since last several years, we have seen a huge exodus of capital and educated youth. Law and order situation in our country in general and especially in Karachi are deteriorating by the day. We need a strong economic engine to pull the woes of this country.

What better place could it be than KPK. The new KPK government is quite ambitious, honest, and has the capacity to provide room and resources to the business community. So why not establish businesses in KPK instead of running to UAE, Bangladesh, or other foreign lands????

KPK main port naheen aa sakta that's the problem, we should try to ensure that world recognise MQM as a terrorist organisation and put a ban locally in Pakistan and Internationally also.

Tafoo has to step down from MQM that's it...Karachi will be peaceful again.

KPK is good option to export Goods to Afghanistan and central Asia, in long term. Port is also not the most important criteria for export. Check out Germany most industrialised regions (South Germany) and port location (In the North)

logistics? Transportation? Port?
Gwadar is the best option, make gwadar like dubai!

What about sea port? I think Khattak will soon announce building a sea.
if you are talking about logistics (trade) then first a sea port, then a good and honest management!

but Germany has got the infrastructure, the ports are in Hamburg and Bremen, good roads and cheap oil makes a difference.
whereas pakistan cant afford this!

Well Pakistan also have good linkage between North and South (Indus Highway and Motorway) but most cheapest option is using Railways. In long term it can also review Pakistan Railways. And then there are Afghanistan and Central Asian Markets.

Is it the last alternative or do we have options, can't we have both at the same time ?

Agreed, not either or....

However, the situation in Karachi is not conducive to a "thriving" business community.

It has the potential of being the industrial hub of ASIA if not the world. However without law and order and good governance, it has turned into an industrial wasteland.

But vanishing MQM will not solve the peoblem, it will bring more chaos. If you really want to remove MQM from Karachi and wants to utilize Karachi's resources then you need to ask PTI leadership to open their head office in Karachi, mingle with Karachi's people all the time and address their every day grievances. You need to show them practically that PTI is in Karachi for the people of Karachi.

If you start this practice now, you will have another good five years to build confidence among Karachi people and in the next election you may be able to defeat MQM and then ALL will be yours.

My sincere advice to PTI , even though I always support MQM.

PTI already has a strong support base among the educated youth of Karachi...

No one can win in Karachi (or Punjab) unless we have FREE and FAIR elections.

We have seen MQM & their ways over last three decades they can't be partner for peace. MQM has to be taken down from outside as well as from inside, vaccum will be filled by people of Karachi who I am sure are educated enough to understand how to govern themselves.

Regarding PTI, I am not advocating PTI at all, I am ready to accept any force who can bring peace in Karachi.

Totally agreed, I think Pakistan does need very honest people who can take decisions which might not be very popular.

moving is not the answer, running away from thugs, no way, fix these thugs with persuasive power, and law and order, don't run away from these if you do they will follow you, fix them by legal means, that includes power of persuasion,
