O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. (Al-Maida: 8)
إنّ الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيـّئات أعمالنا، من يهده الله فلا مضلّ له ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، والصّلاة والسّلام على رسوله محمّد وعلى آله وصحبه إلى يوم الدّين، وبعد:
All praises are due to Allah, whose help we seek. We seek forgiveness from him. We seek refuge from Allah for our vices and the misdeeds of our work. And indeed, the one whom Allah guides can never be mislead, and whoever is mislead has no guidance. May prayers and peace be upon His Messenger Muhammad, his family, and companions, until the Day of Judgment.
We feel hurt and our hearts weep blood when we see forms of exaggeration where someone is betrayed from the right Manhaj when they are labelled as heretic or infidel or when they are insulted in ways contrary to what our noble Messenger instructed us in our conduct with violators. Therefore, it is important to understand and realise how we should deal with a person who outwardly stands with us in the same line to defend our religion, but whose conduct shows that there are certain deeds where he is unintentionally committing mistakes while thinking he is on the right path.
We should note that this type of person is completely different from those who have declared war against Islam by joining the enemies of the religion. We have to distinguish between these two groups of people clearly, and in this area we should always consult people who have an understanding of Islamic knowledge and the Sharia. By making this distinction, we will be able to differentiate between different groups of people and deal with them accordingly, as decreed by our holy religion. This will help us unite our ranks and pay attention to defeating the real enemy.
Every learned person knows about the situation of the Muslim Ummah today. We all know the type of problems, tragedies, and opposition we face. This is a time of offering the greatest sacrifices.
The Ummah is facing an enemy which does not differentiate between combatants and non-combatants. It doesnt differentiate between children or elders or women. They consider all of us as enemies, for we are all Muslims and monotheists.
This situation commands us to come together and unite against this invasive force and repel it from our lands. The greatest blessing of Allah is our brotherhood, mutual cooperation, and unity of the ranks. The enemy is also fighting us for these basic attributes of unity. The enemy is working day and night trying to find ways of dividing us into groups in order to weaken us. The enemy is doing all this in order to create Fitna among us and reach its objectives by paying the lowest price. Now, in this situation, if we adhere to the attitude mentioned in the beginning, we are actually helping the enemy reach its objectives.
The battlefields in which we are engaged include the important field of Jihadi forums which have deprived the enemy of their sleep. They have already evaluated the massive impact of these forums on the propagation of the ongoing jihad. These forums are actually in support of the different Jihadi groups scattered across the globe. We consider these jihadis to be todays Victorious Sect, with Allah the Almighty's permission.
These forums have become a true battlefield between us and the enemies. We defend our Jihad through words on these forums, and so we spread true news and information about the Mujahideen using these forums. We also use these forums to portray the hardships of Jihad and try to convey the message of the Mujahideen. These forums also work to expose the conspiracies and the future of the enemies, so that the Muslim youth who do not understand the true face of the infidels may do so. Our forums also pass the message to the Muslims that they are needed on the true fronts of Jihad so that they may join them there.
Since these forums are of great importance in our fight against the enemy, our members are obliged to have particular characteristics just as soldiers engaged on the battlefields, as the preachers on the preaching fields, and the virtuous people who bring hearts together rather than setting them apart. By this we mean that we should conduct those activities for which we are best qualified and which are constructive. We should try to create peace among Muslims rather than spread hatred. We should be representatives of our religion that create love for the true Manhaj. We shouldnt be among those who create fear of the Manhaj.
{يُؤتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَن يَشَاءُ وَمَن يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْراً كَثِيراً وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ إِلاَّ أُوْلُواْ الأَلْبَابِ**
He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding. (Al-Baqara: 269)
Our dear brothers! We are mentioning these facts because we have seen that several of the brothers touch a dangerous issue of religion. This issue is about the matter of Takfir or terming a person with an incorrect interpretation of Islam as an enemy, without knowing the facts and reasons. Some hasty people think that because of a mistake in judgment, an individuals good deeds can be completely ignored, and he can be classified as one of the infidels. This is not the true way of our Manhaj and is contrary to the Manhaj as followed by our pious predecessors of Ahl as-Sunnah wal-Jamaah.
In order to issue a decree on offences, the individual needs to have enough knowledge and understanding. We cannot label our opponents with whom we differ on issues of interpretation as the enemies of Allah or as the friends of Allahs enemies. We have noticed that sometimes a few individuals have gone to the extreme of calling another person agent or traitor only because he has expressed a difference of opinion on a matter. May Allah help us.
The issue of Takfir needs to be addressed with the clearest words, and the individual who issues such a decree has to understand the matter with due curiosity and care. However, when personal Takfir comes in, the matter becomes more complicated as compared to collective Takfir, and hence we have to be more careful. In order to call an individual an infidel, we have to understand all the conditions of such a Fatwa and also remove any misunderstandings we might have in this regard.
My dear and honourable brothers!
There is a big difference between advising an individual on his mistake and using the mistake in order to attempt calling an opponent an infidel. The latter is the door to calling any differing Muslim an infidel. By making this kind of action, we commit an act which is in contradiction with our Sharia.
Such acts have never been committed by our pious predecessors. In particular, these allegations can take a dangerous turn if the opponent is a servant of the religion and his past indicates his service to Islam. There are some among us who go to such levels as to abuse any opponent.
The result is that we lose our supporter who has been bringing people closer to us and has also been praying for us. We tend to be harsher on them as compared to our enemies. Sternness is not for Muslims but for the enemies of Allah. Toughness doesnt mean we should drown ourselves in a swamp of Takfir and start calling anyone who opposes our views as infidels. We are not here to label muslims as infidels, and therefore we will not go towards such acts, unless under circumstances where such an act seems inevitable.
How would we respond to this commandment of Allah?
{مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ مِنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ذَلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الإِنْجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَى عَلَى سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُمْ مَغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا**
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate, seeking Bounty from Allah and His Good Pleasure. The mark of them is on their faces from the traces of prostration. This is their description in the Torah. But their description in the Gospel is like a sown seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward. (Al-Fath: 29)
We have to notify an individual about their mistake using reason and logic and with kind advice, talk, and manners.
It is because our aim is to solve the issue and identify the right matter. We need to identify a doubt and remove it.
Our aim is to find out the mistake and refute all doubts. Allah the Almighty has provided a reliable course of action for this, which is based on kind talk, logic, and good counsel. Our aim is to correct the one who is mistaken in order to keep him within our ranks, not make that person into our enemy and actually help the enemy by filling its ranks, may Allah forbid this.
May Allah have mercy on all of you, and you should not forget that you are members of forums that invite people to Jihad, and with Allahs permission, we are following the truth. We treasure an important and expensive gift that needs to be delivered to its master. Our only option is to conduct our responsibilities with the best ethics possible. We have to avoid the temptations of Shaytan and ourselves, because if we please them, we will anger our Lord and Creator.
We ask for Allah! For Allah's sake, be careful when you are identifying and verifying. For Allahs sake, be kinder towards your brothers.
In contrast, we should always try to advise, but our advice should have a tone that lands softly on the heart of the opponent. We have a dual responsibility to conduct Dawah and in the meantime fight against the enemies of Allah. For if we do this, Allah might consider us the reason for closing the door of Fitna and create light in the eyes of the person whom we think is our opponent and who is on the wrong track and may guide him to the right path.
In order to prevent this Fitna and uphold the great aims and objectives of our battlefront and our brothers, it is very easy for us to ban a few usernames. It doesnt matter who these individuals are or whatever their names might be, we will ban them from the forums if we find them fuelling quarrels and arguments leading to the disruption of our war against our enemies, a war that has cost the lives, property, wealth, and the families of hundreds and thousands of our brothers.
We have said what we needed to tell you. We pray to Allah for the opportunity to understand our flaws, control our desire, and have sincerity in our words and deeds. We pray to our Creator so that we can unite as one body for the support of our religion, for the defence of our Mujahideen brothers and the release of all our prisoners. Indeed, Allah is the One who has the power and the control over such matters. Our last prayers are all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the universe. And may Allah's prayers and peace be upon he whose morality is based on the Quran.
