The Islamabad High Court has ordered the name of Zulfi Bukhari, a close aide of PTI Chairperson Imran Khan, to be taken off the blacklist.
Justice Aamir Farooq heard the case on Friday and ordered that the restrictions on his travel should be lifted.
A plea against Bukhari, who is a civilian, using the Noor Khan Air Base has also been rejected.
Bukhari had spoken to the media on June 21 and said there was no reason to put his name on the blacklist. He refuted allegations that Imran had called someone to have his name removed from the Exit Control List to allow him to go abroad.
Bukhari and Imran went for Umrah for six days on June 11, despite the former’s name being on the ECL by the National Accountability Bureau. It later emerged that Bukhari was granted a six-day exemption by the interior ministry.
