ISI Connection - PTI or PML(N)
PTI is being accused of gaining popularity making connections with Army and or ISI since its Lahore Rally 0f 30[SUP]th[/SUP] October which changed the canvas of Pakistani politics dramatically, the politics which was earlier revolving around two parties i.e. PPP and PML(N). Lets look at this accusation on merit.
The first speech in which Chaudri Nisar accused of PTI having connections with ISI was soon after that rally and soon after a barrage of same accusation came from all PML(N) members. Interestingly they also blamed PTI to be B team of PPP forgetting the fact that double accusation makes their stand weak either Army or PPP.
But even more interesting fact that PML(N) never countered their own relationship with Army and ISI. It is known that Chaudri Nisar has a military background and he was instrumental in getting Genral Perwez Musharaf appointed as COAS. Nawaz Sharif only could blame himself for his own down fall in the hands of Perwez Musharaf. Presently PML(N) has two retired Army Generals in their rank and file.
Even more interestingly since October 2011 and now Nisar Ali Khan and Shehbaz Sharif their self kept meeting General Kiyani and now with General Sharif and kept blaming IK for links with Army and ISI. But IK himself only met with General Kyani once on his request in the presence of others and once with General Raheel Sharif again on the request of General Raheel and Nawaz Sharif in the presence of otherS, whereas both Chaudri Nisar and Shehbaz Sharif met with both generals in camera.
Thirdly IK and PTI on the surface have no links with Army or ISI. This link if only can be proved is by statements of Chaudri Nisar, Shareef brothers and their aides.
Another question is status quo. It is evident that status quo supports all such as PML(N), PPP, other parties except PTI, Army and Supreme judiciary. It is said that Judiciary supports Status quo more than any other party and seemingly courts are doing the same. Judges of higher and highest courts not only sided with forces of status quo before and during elections, still these courts are providing support to present status quo using delaying tactics to prolong the proceedings on matters of high importance. Interestingly NS requested Army Chief to play the arbitrator role thinking that Army Chief would threaten his adversaries and Army Chiefs threat would be enough to force both IK and TUQ to pull-out. To his surprise that tactics gave more momentum to IK and TUQ and people started thinking that no ISI is not siding with PTI or PAT but with PML(N) and that propaganda started losing ground and after completion of one month of sit-in has given more force to the fact that ISI is siding with PML(N).
In this background if one can ponder then only one thing comes to mind that PML(N) has come into power with the blessing of Army or ISI and Judiciary and still these two powers are covertly assisting PML(N) in resisting status quo forces. Saying that PTI is working on the behest of Army / ISI would be idiotic.
