What's so surprising in that? even if he is the same Asad Umar?

I guess the expectation would be that the board of directors of state bank should be apolitical body. It would have been kosher if he was on the board in his capacity as an executive of the corporate world but now that he has stepped into the political realm it wouldn't make much sense.

I think someone pointed out that this may very well be an old document.

Actually he is the same Asad Umar and as per the constitution of SBP, he must leave the directorship because of his political association.
Let see how 2nd in command of party of honest politicians will follow the rules... Thanks for posting the screenshot. let me find the screen shot of SBP's constitution.

I recall Asad saying when he joined PTI that he has resigned from all positions and boards he was part of. This must be old...

Folks.. take a chill pill. I am not passing judgement on anything here. I just posted a question. Since I am not in Pakistan, information that Pakistanis think as general knowledge, may not be easily available to outsiders.

Again, I have no opinion on AU's seat on the board.

dear, it's enough for the conspiracies...

for a Muslim country, being a Free Mason or in the group itself is a conspiracy. We all know FM's manifesto - Riba and Secularism - two major items on the agenda.

Hopefully I am wrong. I have heard that once you join, you can not leave, not alive or in peace anyway

let me clear something, I have an emotional attachment to SBP because my father is an employee there, so it definitely hurt when I hear something like this. so apologies if I am being sentimental...

2ndly state follows the laws, rules and regulations made and amended by the govt. so SBP might be responsible but main culprit is govt. It's my opinion and you can differ to that...

There is no denying that SBP is owned by the Free Masons. However, only the top officials may be members of the FM. FM usually targets politicians and definitely install their own people at the State or Central banks. A Pakistani born politician in Toronto has just become a member of the Free Masons. he was contacted and given warm welcome and promises of financial rewards. Chairman of the US FedRes is the prefect example. Look at the three crowns of the FM on top of the SBP building.
