An Indian rocket failed in its attempt Thursday to put a satellite into orbit to provide real-time images used to monitor cyclones and other potential natural disasters.

A technical fault occurred in the third and final ignition stage shortly after the rocket was launched from the space center in Sriharikota in southern India, the country's space agency said.

That's how winning is done. These failures are stepping stone to something greater. It also shows they are doing something. We need to learn to do the same.

When nothing is happening, no failures happen. E.g. Sparco.

Failures are evidence that someone is trying to achieve something.

Nothing wrong in failing as long as you're learning from your failures and moving forward.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah failed to convince Muslims of India for Pakistan in the initial days. His failures taught him things, and he kept moving forward. Then a day came when he succeeded in persuading large population.

In my opinion the first priority for any nation should be the poverty elimination, healthcare reforms and education including science and technology. Once these goals are achieved to satisfactory level then there is no harm in attempting in such areas and loosing money.

We all talk about India’s high literacy rate, are we talking about the literacy in letter and spirit or confusing ourselves with people who are school or college going or who have been awarded degrees? If I compare both Pakistani and Indian nations I don’t find much difference in terms of literacy. Yes india has more school going people and more degree holders than pakistan.

Anyways in any national policy making the well-being of the nationals should come first.

Why is our SUPARCO not providing help to it's neighbor? No doubt we r the best nation ruling space and rightly deserve to mock poor India.

These are the questions Pak journalists should be asking from Sharifs and Zardari when they falsely claim that Pakistan was progressing during their periods.
Questions should, what was the progress and which fields!!
They have done few things only, roads and power plants. From M2 alone NS stolen over $468 million. Revealed in the book, never denied by Sharifs.
Power plants all went to their chums on lucrative contracts, resulting circular debts for Pakistan.
Otherwise, poor hospitals, schools, sports facilities.
Poorly run cities with filth accumulating everywhere.
Those who cannot clear rubbish, cannot educate their kids, cannot take care of their patients, could not and should not be allowed to claim that they progress Pakistan.

But Pakistani journalists only do fixed interviews with these criminals. Shame.

I agree with u but we should not blame Nawaz or Zardari for everything.
Let me give u our office's schedule. We were leaving home around 8AM and arriving office at 830. Then 900hrs tea break then noon to 1400 lunch and 1500 hitea and 1600 we start ready to comeback home. With such routine what kind of miracles we can do?
Yes we should blame Zardari and Nawaz but they will be answerable to their actions and we will be ours.
As a nation we are either incompetent or corrupt and to satisfy our ego we elect the most incompetent and corrupt leaders and then blame them from day one. On top when these corrupt incompetent leaders make even more corrupt or incompetent heads of departments/organizations. We never take blame for our own mistakes but always find others to blame.
Like Ayoub brought ZAB in politics and in return he helped to divide country. Then he selected an incompetent person Zia ul Haq as COAS and Zia gave us Nawaz. There's no way an incompetent person will select competent person.
In this thread we Pakistani are happy with the failure of Indian space agency but we should be crying on this news that where our space agency stands?
