Indian actress costumes worth Rs 1.2 cr, Rich bollywood and poor India. ?

Kareena Kapoor has reportedly been given a whopping Rs 1.2 crore budget for 'Heroine' Bebo who plays a diva in the flick will have four costume changes in every scene. According to a source, "The film will have 130 costumes designed especially for her by ace designer Manish Malhotra. 'Heroine' is an extravagant project and they are leaving no stone unturned to make it look as glamorous as possible".

very sad to know. i feel pity for poor Indian people.
it is alarming that common is unable to make both end meal but Bollywood and cricket players are earning more than what they deserve. their rate is more than developed countries people in same profession

there is famous saying about both countries that Indian govt. is rich and people are poor where as in pakistan people are rich and govt. is poor.

recently tendulkar bought house worth 390 million Indian rupees( 8.7 million dollar) even a British or Australian cricketer wont be able to buy it

I am agree with you .. just want to show you the reason about situation in both countries..

In india people are paying high taxes, high prices like petrol, and all money going to the indian govt banks, thatsy govt is rich

In pakistan you guys have low taxes , low prices like petrol, and all money remains in common people bank, thatsy govt is poor

But if i compare both condition then you guys are better then us.. so keep enjoying

well this is capitalism in full swing - dont take bollywood or professional cricket in isolation. They are businesses out to make money based on supply and demand - the bigger the market the bigger the profits. As with any other businesses in india reliance, tata, sahara etc are reaping the benefits of the size of the indian market. There is a reason that the western companies are drooling at the prospect of peddling their wares to the masses in india and china.

Yes i am agree with you that they are doing business as per demands.. but we have issue with the Indian govt.. why petrol is so cheap in pakistan and so costly in India.. why we are paying lots of taxes.. why employee have lower salary while companies earning good profit and why so much salary difference is there......? and lots of other issues are in India here..India has lots of money but they are kept into one place and cannot reach to the common people..

Jagbani, Whats wrong with this? They make films for consumers and costumes are a part of it. Why don't you tell the poor to stop having 8 kids when they can't afford even one.

Jagbani, why don't you open up your own business and employ people and show everyone how its done. Petrol is cheaper in Pakistan because its subsidized and in India its not. India had already tried your left wing methods during Indira Gadhi's time it failed miserably.

People have responsibilities too it is up to them to act responsibly and not to rely on government for hand outs. Govt and all of can help when some one in injured and ill but there is no way to help those who are irresponsible.

They should take their legally earned money where ever they want. How do you know 1.2 krore came out of Swissbanks and how do you know profit made, if any, will go to Swiss banks. Those who don't pay taxes, reasonable, should be hanged.
