Fearing Arab nationals reaction Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has reportedly requested Twitter to withheld the objectionable tweet from its platform.
On of the tweets among those is of BJP MP from Bengaluru, Tejaswi Surya, who had posted a communal tweet in 2015 linking Islam to terrorism.
The Firebrand MP Surya had posted the tweet back in 2015 before he became the youngest elected parliamentarian in the 2019 Lok sabha election. In this tweet, Surya had written- “In short: true, terror has no religion. But the terrorist definitely has a religion, and in most cases, it’s Islam”.
His orgasm post on Arab women turned to be the point of content and then to mitigate the tensions it created between the nations Tejaswi Surya asked apology and deleted his tweet .

That was the reason why he was given a ticket from the influential Bengaluru east constituency in 2019 general elections.
But now after the request from the government to Twitter, it looks like the party wants to clean up for the things Surya had said before being elected.
As per Times Now, under Section 69A of the Information Technology (IT) Act, the government made the request to Twitter on 29th April.
The Bengaluru MP’s tweet is among 121 tweets that the government has requested to be removed.
As per The Wire, Information Ministry reportedly sends a list of tweets to Twitter that are objectionable in nature- such as those opposing government’s stand on Kashmir issue or those which are allegedly pro-Pakistan.
In one of his tweets in 2018, Surya had said that the BJP should be a party only for Hindus. The young leader has often talked about a Hindu nation.
Inspite of the reported hatred created by the BJP lawmaker he has not been booked under any law ..
But now his own BJP government request to twitter for delete of all tweets of their own party Lawmaker’s 121 hatred sparking tweets ..
Doesn’t this tantamount of protecting BJP party’s youngest Lawmaker by erasing all material evidences against him asks Legal Experts in India ..
