Pakistan is not in debt because of the size of our military. Percentage wise, our defense budget is less than that of India. We are in a hole because our previous finance minister was a class A crook.

Even when not directly in power, Army maintained a strong control over Defense, Foreign, Information and Interior Ministeries either by force using ISPR, ISI or through its proxies. Its unfair to assess and evaluate the performance of a civilian Govt when they are kicked out every 2-3 years and this is why I am against removal of Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry after only six months when their actual tenure were 5 FIVE LONG YEARS

With due respect, the length is not necessary. Direction is more than enough to tell us where a govt is headed. Israel has had more than. 36 govts in it's 70 odd years of existence. This is a common excuse used by civilian govts to escape their failures
