Background.
ODI No.450 May 25 1987 Pakistan VS England Edgbaston

Deciding game of the 3 Match ODI Series leveled at 1 1.

Batting first, Pakistan was cruising at one stage with a score reading 168 for 2. A dramatic collapsed followed and Pakistan lost 6 wickets in 18 balls with the score reading 171 for 9 including a world record 6 ducks.
Pakistans captain Imran Khan watched the entire collapse from non strikers end. Despite his best efforts, he could not get on strike to help his team. His team was collapsing right in front of him and he could not do anything watching helplessly from non strikers end.

Finally, he got his turn after Pakistan lost 6 wickets in 18 balls for no runs. His anger and frustration for not being able to get to the strikers end and help his team resulted in the shot shown in the video.

He remained unbeaten on 24 and added valuable runs with the Number 11 Mohsin Kamal. Pakistans final score was 213 for 9. Pakistan eventually lost the match by 1 wicket in a dramatic fashion when Ramiz Raja missed a easy run out chance.

But it was Imran Khans brave efforts and the fighting unbeaten partnership with the number 11 batsman that brought Pakistan back in the game and gave them a fighting chance.
