Imran Khan must order an immediate thorough and unbiased scrutiny of his party's failure to capture more than two seats in these bye elections. If it were to be found that party machinery was incompetent and inefficient in vowing disgruntled voters into PTI fold, they must either be replaced or assigned other tasks. If it were to be found that Imran Khan personal standing has eroded, he should work hard to recapture the momentum that he has lost and improve on his shortcomings.
I believe that Imran Khan personal tussle against Moulana Fazul-ur-rahman and Altaf Hussein cost PTI a lot of votes in Karachi and Pukhtoonkhaw. He should in the future concentrate more on criticizing opponents policies and manifestos which are wrong and against country's economic, political, diplomatic and internal and external security interest instead of their fat faces.
I am totally disappointed that despite achieving nothing since becoming prime minister, Nawaz Shariff's PML-N gained five national assemble seats and ten in the Punjab assembly. This is an enigma that defies intelligence and points to the fact that Pakistani electorate whether living in villages, towns or cities do not vote for the policies of their parties but for the faces of their representatives. I am of the opinion as always that Pakistani voters have serf and sheep mentality that does not need intelligence but a lone dog with a whip that can direct them where to go and whom to vote. What has PML-N did in the last two months to deserve this success is reflection of Pakistani illiterate and uneducated masses wisdom. This is precisely the reason that they elected the most corrupt, embezzling, stealing and inept PPP government and its coalition partners and allowed it to ruin country's economy and political stability.
I think that if Imran Khan failed to address this bye-election's poor showing as a very serious matter but just a temporary hicup, he should say good bye to his big claims of coming Tsunami. I would also advise him to stop using the word, Tsunami' as the political motivation but instead use Islamic Inqlab as the slogan of change.
