IGP KPK Nasir Khan Durrani Takes Action on SMS Complaints, Suspends Cops
PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani on SMS complaints has suspended as well as ordered registration of criminal cases against two sub Inspectors and one constable with immediate effect.
As per details a citizen of Peshawar has complained to IGP through SMS that incharge police post Gul Abad Police Station Banamari Sub Inspector Jehanzeb Khan gathering drug addicts in front of police post in the evening due to which female, children and elders of the locality face problems.
Moreover, he had given illegal electricity and gas connection from the police post to eight houses for the last 3/4 years and receiving Rs. 8000/per month from each house.
Similarly two Citizen of Mardan in two separate SMS have complained to the IGP that constable Irshad of Special Branch Mardan had received Rs. 700000/- from the complainant son for the appointment in different govt departments wherein in another SMS against the said constable it has been alleged that he had received Rs. 31,50000/- as fraud from the complainant that he will registered medicine company for him through Health Department.
The police chief checked these SMS complaints through DIG Enquiry and Inspection who proved the allegations against the Sub Inspector and constable in his enquiry report.
The IGP in the light of the enquiry report of DIG has suspended Sub Inspector Jehanzeb Khan and constable Irshad, ordered registration of criminal cases against them as well as initiated departmental enquiry against the defaulters.
Likewise the IGP after proper enquiry on another complaints against the Sub Inspector about faulty investigation in a murder case has suspend Incharge Investigation Police Station Takht Bai Sub Inspector Afsar Said and ordered departmental inquiry against him.
