ISLAMABAD: Mushahid Hussain, a senior PML-Q leader, Thursday stressed upon the prime minister to change his Mughal mindset to one that of Nelson Mandelas to take the country forward.
Speaking at joint session of the Parliament, Hussain said that Pakistan was facing serious geo-political challenges, adding all state institutions including the army have to work collectivity to face these challenges.
The ball is now in prime ministers court, he said, asking the government to change its style of governance.
Be more inclusiveforget the past, move forward and move on, he added.
Hussain also stressed for close relations between the government and the army as the latter is a major stakeholder.
He said that there was no threat to democracy but the government would have to perform and deliver.
PML-Q leader urged that resignations of PTI members should not be accepted, adding if negotiations could be held with the Taliban then why not with the protestors outside the parliament. Samaa
