Not really, single core performance is par but the major drawback is the mali gpu which is no match to the adrenos in snapdragon, too many cores doesn't necessarily mean better performance. The Kirin used here has yet to prove its worth and seeing how it uses 4 of the old cortex a53's, it has yet to prove itself as well as battery performance is questionable. No Snapdragon+Adreno = NO NO.

Battery non-removable? No no no
Not really, depends on craftsmanship and optimization on software side. I'm happy with my Xperia z5p. Given how buggy the snapdragon 810 was with its over heating and throttling issues, Sony did a marvelous job of getting the most out of it. This was the first phone ever to come with heat dissipating pipes. 18 mins into 4k recording and it still goes on. Usually phones turn off the camera after 5 to 10 mins of 4k recording. I'm a Sony user since its sony ericsson t610 days but that's a matter of choice.

one single question whats the resale value versus Samsung answer nada . i still can sell my note 4 and buy note 5 on re contract and still have $30 in my pocket when this reaches that stage then it would be fair to compare

well as long as resale value is concerened surely samsung has a better position but there is no doubt tht huawei is actually gaining some grounds and cracking the shell of samsung myth in android market with new innovations. the question is why huawei is the only competitor of samsung ? answer is very simple .. huawei is not scared of introducing new technologies and experiments which samsung normally does, samsung introduces same design and same material in its every flagship models of same year. you will see note 6 wont be much different then galaxy s7 except with s-pen jack etc, huawei introduced mate 8 three months ago and now they have introduced entirely different phone with new innovations of laser cam etc, so now its a fight of innovation between two giants .. you will see in next one year or two , huawei will become the second biggest android market share holder.

i myself was a samsung geek from last 6 7 years or so , i was bored with the same design, same gestures etc but after looking at mate 8 i switched the company and i have no complains what so ever.. i am not going back to samsung unless an extra ordinary phone comes out.

The point is not about resale value but lower product came from behind to take on the ivy league.
