slow download process could be because of several things...
first of which could be your internet connection.
then your system itself... what kind of machine do you have... how much disk space it has.... what else you are running while doing download.....

Well your best bet is google drive, or drop box.
Ask him to split file (Which i believe he already did) and upload , you can download parts and combine them to make one big file.

what is your speed ? even 8mbps speed takes more than three hours for ten gb in india..
