Out of a total area of 881,913 sq km only 363,000 is arable in Pakistan.The arable are can be increased considerably may be doubled if modern farming methods and technology is used.Pakistan does not conserve water.It needs to build hundreds of small dams and water reservoirs to store water.Wetlands must be revived too.Pakistan needs to plan for future food security for its growing population.
