Recently, IK referenced the "Confessions of the Economic Hitman" when he was highlighting pmln's continued borrowing of loans from the world bank.

Here is an interview with the author of that book as he explains how the US economically subdued countries by giving them loans they could not pay back.

Do you know trillions of dollars debt US itself has to pay back to China and other countries. The scary part for US is China already started selling US loans (treasury bills). That debt is more than what US given to other poor countries. Since oil prices went down all the smart countries started buying oil from black market and gold the dollar demand went up for the time being. Saudia and other oil producing countries economies facing major budget deficit and cutting down their development expenditures. That will definitely effect the US and other western contractors.
