[FONT="]Truth in itself means nothing at all. In fact nothing means anything at all unless there is a purpose to it. Does a word have any meanings at all if it serves no purpose? The question is why it is important to understand the purpose of something? In the context of the quran all information revolves around purpose of creation and revelation. Why? It is because purpose sets the goals and helps to know what sort of program is required to fulfil those goals and guidelines help to organise and regulate people towards accomplishing the set out goals. People who claim to be muslims have little or no sense of any of this. This is why they are a totally confused people. Not only muslims but whole world is living confused lives because they are not bothered much with knowing properly what they ought to know. Goals are like destinations people choose for themselves and that is why they get sense of direction. Guidelines help them form a constitution to base themselves upon as an organised people ie constitution helps a human society to organise themselves into a human society. Guidelines also help people legislate laws in order to regulate their society. Organisation and regulation of a human society is for achieving or accomplishing the sets goals with help of some program that is supposed to be put in place for this purpose.
Understanding the message of the quran in this context is absolutely necessary. Things only have value for mankind if they have purposeful place which gives them context otherwise there is no truth and there is no falsehood just confusion and nothing but confusion. This does not mean things in themselves have no reality but that that reality does not matter or it means nothing at all for human beings unless it is understood by them in its proper context. You cannot benefit from anything at all unless you know what it is and what it is useful for and how to make use of it to benefit from it. I cannot benefit from a pen if I do not know what it is and what purpose it could serve and how to use it for that purpose.
The quran is just a book with some words in it. Unless those words are understood by people in their proper context they are of no benefit for mankind. If the quran is message of creator for human beings, can it benefit them if they do not know what it is and what purpose it is supposed to serve and why or how etc etc? If a person writes some random words on a piece of paper do they mean anything? For example, if one writes on the paper; get up, speak, punch , kick, smile, jump etc etc, what do these word mean? Nothing at all because they are not put in a context for making any sense to anyone. If these words are listed for purpose of memorising spellings of words then they have a context because they have been used for a purpose. The quran contains a lot of words and verses but if these words and verses are not understood for their purposes in their proper context then they are useless. This is why just quoting verses of the quran or some ahaadis from the hadis books randomly does not help unless people first are given their proper sense in their proper context. If we send a team of people for a mission but do not tell the team what the mission is or the team does not bother to know the mission or how to fulfil it, will the mission be ever accomplished by the team by doing random acts listed in the mission list? NO. This is why for so long as muslims do not bother with learning of the quranic message properly they cannot accomplish the mission they are assigned in the quran by God. For more see
