First Afghan-Mughal war: An account of battle of Panipat
4.png

What?

Where do Afghans come?

That was a battle between Central Asian Babur who had captured Afghanistan and Ibrahim Lodhi who belonged the Lodhi tribe but his great great gandfather had settled in Multan long before this war.

How can you tag it as "Afghans vs Mughals"?

Did i read it right? Is that what you said?.... "Perhaps the Pathans conquered the principality of Ramu and some portion of modern Akyab Division"..

Who were Pathans in that army?

The guy was was made the Governor by descendents of Sher Shah Suri who was a Sipahi in Mughal Army. He didnt come from Afghanistan with an AFGHAN or PATHAN army. He raised to that level by the help of Mughal's rival Kings and the army of the natives, Biharis and Bengalis. He had remained the ruler of Bengal and Bruma was an obvious next target by his descendants. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PATHANS.

Read about Sher Shah Suri and his ambitious efforts to become the King of India which never came true, and you'll know that his army was Multi-ethinic.
