Have you received a message urging you to sign up for the limited Gold version of the popular messaging app WhatsApp? Well, if you have or havent be warned to not download it as it is s a malware.

Recently, some Whatsapp users reported to have received a message from scammers offering them the exclusive WhatsApp Gold to download from its website, www.goldenversion.com.

Scammers claim the app comes with exclusive features, which were previously available to top celebrities only, including video calling, free calling, being able to delete messages sent by mistake and sending more than 100 pictures at once. The message further says once you download the Gold version, the apps green icon will change to golden.

However, downloading the app from website could infect your phone and making your data vulnerable to cyber criminals.
