There is a process of recognition of a new university. A university contains some additional facilities (related to research etc) that are not there in a campus or affiliated college.

Upgrading a campus to university means that additional facilities have been provided and HEC may or may not recognize this as a university in future. A due quality assurance is performed on the facilities and then a recognized status is given to a university.

5 universities that are not appearing in the list of HEC recongnized universities do not mean that they are fake. The propagandists are only posting the list of recognized universities, and not posting unrecognized ones, as the names are not appearing there as well.

What it means? It means that although the facilities have been provided, the university will still issue a degree of the parent university, of which the newly upgraded university was part of in the past.. until HEC recognizes it.. which may take some months..

Good thing to appreciate is that students do not have to travel to the parent university to perform research work.

One more thing, there is absolutely no chance that a campus is upgraded to a university by government and the vice chancellor is the Governor of the province, yet it is not recognized by HEC after due process.. It has never happened before.. It has only happened in case of private universities.

I am not here to start a dick measuring contest.. Not comparing KP with mighty Punjab where literacy rate has reached 100% in the past 30 years of Sharif's rule.

Hum log chhotay log hain bhai, aap logon se kia muqabla.. Aap ki universities tou sang e bunyaad rakhnay par hi recognize hojati hain HEC kia, internationally bhi..

Which means that these campuses do not have research facilities, and have not applied for the university status.. Abb iss main KP government ka kia qasoor hai jis ne campuses ko upgrade kar ke university ka darja dedia, aur HEC recognition ke liey apply kardia..

In shaa Allah, hojaengeen recognize.. Aap ka sooba hai bhai KP bhi.. khush honay ki baat hai ke KP main research facilities main izafa horaha hai.. Main tou baray shauq se yeh baat apnay foreign friends ko batata hun..
