Disagree. This hadith is primarily related to one incident and it suggests pride of being a Muslim rather than a practice. This hadith has been taken out of context, very sad indeed.

Can u explain , How this Hadith was only about a Particular incident?

According to the little knowledge I have about the context of this Hadith, Prophet Muhammed (SAW) was going to meet the jews/christians and He (SAW) had requested Sahabas' to not to greet but say "Wa'alaykum" if the non-Muslim greets them first. So primarily, these were instructions based on that visit.

What was that visit ....... will u like to explain about that visit from the Books of Hadiths or from early history books?

Waiting for your reply with substance not an arrow in the Air!

Before I do that, do you agree with this video?

Yes I agree with this video!

Anyway I do not consider myself a faithful believer in Islam ... I have actually lost my belief, I am just a cultural Muslim!

The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding.

Purpose :- Only To Defame Islam......Al e Yazeed

Tashi Bro ............ U need to open your eyes!

Islam is a big religion now , Such kind of things will never hurt Islam anymore!

The only thing we can do is that to criticize the things which are inhumane in any belief system

Hinduism is here , Sikhism came 1000 years after Islam is here and expanding , New religions are being established and all of them are succeeding in having converts, even Ahmdiya are successfully getting converts out of Muslims and Bahai's too...... we cannot destroy religions but yah we can reform People not to follow your religions blindly!

For me God is the creator of every thing is this universe , so we shall take care of everything, because God loves his every creation!

The initial Hadith refers to visit to Bani Qurayza, who were at war with Muslims. Whereas, the pushing part refers to walking in the center of the road, which is both a matter of pride and a good strategy in case the enemy attacks. I believe you must agree with the notion of "pushing against the wall".

Furthermore, it is more evident that this was not a general rule rather a directive for a particular visit from the following Hadith from Ibn Bukhari itself:

http://sunnah.com/bukhari/75/24
he Prophet (ﷺ) rode a donkey having a saddle with a Fadakiyya velvet covering. He mounted me behind him and went to visit Sa`d bin 'Ubada, and that had been before the battle of Badr. The Prophet (ﷺ) proceeded till he passed by a gathering in which `Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul was present, and that had been before `Abdullah embraced Islam. The gathering comprised of Muslims, polytheists, i.e., isolators and Jews. `Abdullah bin Rawaha was also present in that gathering. When dust raised by the donkey covered the gathering, `Abdullah bin Ubai covered his nose with his upper garment and said, "Do not trouble us with dust." The Prophet (ﷺ) greeted them, stopped and dismounted. Then he invited them to Allah (i.e., to embrace Islam) and recited to them some verses of the Holy Qur'an.

Banu Quraya were not at war with Muslims anytime in the history of Islam and especially before the battle of Badr

Banu Quraya were butchered after the battle of Trench

U need to find any other Hadith to fit the scene!

Go and listen Abu Waleed the Hadith he mentioned is about a street not about a gathering .... and the message of the hadith is exclusively about Christians and Jews not about the pagan of Medina

Anyway if u think the Hadith is about a special incident ... then u need to provide any evidence form Islamic Hadith Books or History that this Hadith is about a special incident

I again advise u please refrain from throwing arrows in Air!

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) is a not for profit press monitoring and analysis organization with headquarters in Washington, D.C. MEMRI publishes and distributes free English language translations of Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Pashto, and Turkish media reports.[SUP][1][/SUP] The institute was co-founded in 1998 by Yigal Carmon, a former Israeli military intelligenceofficer and Meyrav Wurmser, anIsraeli-bornAmericanpolitical scientist.

The organization's translations are regularly quoted by major international newspapers, and its work has generated strong criticism and praise. Critics have accused MEMRI of producing inaccurate, unreliable translations with undue emphasis and selectivity in translating and disseminating the most extreme views from Arabic and Persian media, which portray the Arab and Muslim world in a negative light

Be it street or a gathering, the following remains the same: The Prophet (ﷺ) greeted them, stopped and dismounted

Secondly, Banu Nadir had provoked Banu Qurayza to break the treaty, after which Prophet Muhammad (SAW) sent Saad bin Muadh and Saad bin Ubadah to confirm if the treaty was broken. Find better arguments.
