درست ارشاد فرمایا پاکستان بندروں اور سوروں کے ھاتھ میں آگیا ھے اور عوام بندروں کی آنی جانیاں اور سوروں کی تباھ کاریاں مجبورا برداشت کر رھے ھیں۔کسی بھی سورس آف نالج کو بند کر دینا ایسا ھی ھے جیسے تقسیم ھند سے پھلے مسلمان علما کے فتووں کی وجہ سے انگریز کی دی ھوی تعلیم کو حرام سمجھتے رھے اور جاھلوں کا کنبہ بن گئے۔ حالانکہ یھی نالج انگریز نے کبھی ھمارے مسلم سائنسدانوں کی کتب سے خوشی خوشی حاصل کیا تھا اور ھم انسے واپس اپنا ھی دیا ھوا علم لینے کو حرام سمجھتے ھیں۔

Being an optimist I think banning youtube was a great initiative by the government for spreading IT knowledge.
If Youtube was not banned jahil people like me would never have known about proxy servers, VPNs etc.
Also we would not have known about the ad-blockers that we knew about when the adware VPN software spammed us with those adds and we googled for the ways to kill them.
Also thanks to the above softwares we are now able to continue our s*x education, which the government has tried to stop us from getting by blocking all those informative sites.

same on you all who are supporting the unbanning of youtube. why do you think china has baidu to replace google and russia has mail.ru and others to replace googlecom?. they dont want to be controlled by google, but you fools wont get it.. you have a little knowledge about what is going on. Get a life. Life is very bigger than google and youtube.

Baidu sucks. Mail.ru is slow. To beat Google you need to offer me a compelling product. Thus far nobody has. Youtube has content. And Content is name of the game. And who is the Pakistani government to tell me what I can and cannot watch? They aren't my mamoo. :P
More over Like I said, if a person can today sit in the Kabah and get on Youtube, then why can't a person sitting in Pakistan do the same?

I used to use Altavista, long time ago. Then finally switched over to Google search. Google is American and that translates to some level of stability and laws that you can atleast work with. In mother Russia, anything can stop working at anytime. I got no issues if a competitor comes along and beats Google. But to do that, they gotta offer something better than Google. I am not an emotional man who worries about principle of the underdog. I only care about my bottom line.
I had a few friends who were all ditched MS and jumping ship to Linux distros. Which is all well and good, until they realized all the cool stuff was still on MS. And I hate MS. I'd love to have an alternative, but I am unwilling to compromise my productivity for a damn principle of breaking a monopoly. I don't have that long a life to worry about such idiosyncrasies.
Please arrange for me a Visa to London. I will get on the next available flight and come meet you. :) Help a brother out. As a plus, I have lived 15 years in the US, working for law firms. So I'll assimilate pretty easily in British society. ;)
