Pakistan’s government and military are on the same page said the country’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
Mr Asif spoke to reporters outside the Parliament on Tuesday saying the military operation in North Waziristan was being made more effective to ensure that its retaliation did not take place in Karachi.
The Defence Minister said that the operation to root out criminal and militant elements had been underway in Karachi for 3-4 months. (Local TV).

Govt accuses Musharraf’s friends of being behind chaos
The government has accused “friends of Musharraf” of being behind the chaotic campaigns launched by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri to destabilise the country.
Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said at a press conference on Sunday that Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif had made it clear that the army believed in the supremacy of the Constitution.
