The world demographic is changing fast... A few years ago, UN estimated the population peak around 11 billion around 2100 and then a gradual decline in population.
However, due to more than expected decline in fertility rates all around the world except Africa, this is revised to around 9 billion and 2055. There are already around 20 countries where the population has started to shrink like Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Germany, and many Eastern European countries.
After every one or two years, one more country joins this group. For the first time in the history of the world, many countries are entering into an unknown territory called death spiral demographic, or aging population with median age of these countries reaching around 50 years, like Japan and Germany.
They simply need more young people to balance the unnatural demographic shift. Pakistan's population growth is not a problem but an advantage in the fast-changing world demographics. Our problem is lack of skilled population, below average literacy rate. If we have a skilled and educated population, we can export educated surplus human resource to all over the world from Japan to New Zealand, from South Korea to Qatar, from Germany to Canada (Canada is adding 10k more to there yearly skilled labor immigrant needs).
Pakistan needs to change their education standards according to world needs in the next one to two decades. Believe me, in next one to two decades, skilled labor is one of the most valued resources of a country.
