Today germany collects from its people over 81 Crore (7.5 million Euros) for the victims of Pakistan floods. German Chancellor Angela Merkel came personally on the TV channels for urging the people to donate. Now i wish this money goes directly to the flood victims, for their welfare not through our Government :(

well dear u demanded all in just a go...:)) but anyway this issue they were also disscussing about the credibility of Pak government and here they also mentioned that private NGOs are working better work than government. Germany's aid workers r already working in Pakistan and hopefully they will do this job by themselves. Important at the moment is to help these por people...just leave these political jackasses

Watched that whole program till the end. Ppl were really very generous. Siemens alone donated 1 million euros and Daimler-mercedes 200,000 €. Most of the time the discussion was on about not giving the money to the government( they do know the ground realities and corruption in the Pakistani system) but through their NGO's like tthe Red cross and Diakonie. many guests in that live show had actually returned the same day from Pakistan to germany and was trying to bring the awarness about the current situation in the Pakistan to the German Volk to maximize the donations. Many visitors were literally praising the courage and Guest-friendly nature of the Pakistani ppl. I was really touched by it.
