Just watched the Indian movie RANGOON. And utterly disappointed the way history was portrayed and molded. Sure it's a movie, and certain embellishments like romance and love are a must, but one shouldn't deprive those from the list who truly made a difference in history like my great grandpa Gen. M Z Kiani; Founder and first commandant and chief of INA, one of a kind first of the few Asian generals of the subcontinent, a keen Hockey Olympic player and a champion of his time, and a dear friend/first hand companion of Sobash Chandra Bose in freedom of India. The only reason (which i think he was disregarded) was he came to Pakistan and played a vital role in the making of Azad Kashmir and worked as a political agent in Gilgit/Baltistan.
I look forward to that day when movies would portray correct history regardless of their political aspirations.
