Gasification of Coal, A little effort by Engineering students.

Coal gasification is a very common and usefull technology in developed countries like China, USA, Australia.But in Pakistan it is not progressing in accordance with our huge natural coal resources.
This is a small effort by Students of Mechanical Engineering, from Wah Engineering College.This is a prototype gasifier and it will open the gates for further research on this project.Basically it was a project of OGDCL but they dropped it due to certain unannounced reasons.

Allah give us everything in Pakistan. a great big coutnry four time biggern than UK. but why uk is advanced and develped. the reason is simple. Rule of Law? No currpotion. they have the rule or system so pple cant do any currpotion. It is an old technology. Every one knows it. It is not 100% clean. It is after all a fossil fuel. Now is the time to use it but if we keep it for another decade then major powers are going to restrict its use in the world. So use it now or loose it forever. But Pakistani politicians are blind and corrupt they will never use it coz by use coal will jeopardise their own bussiness (oil importing) and affect lick backs. Pakistani president is running a huge oil company. So forget about coal and be happy otherwise utelise your vote and bring honest leader first.

Yes indeed, it is old one, but no one in Pakistan ever touched it.
After the submition of this project, Some private companies showed their intrest in it. It is, no doubt, old but also new for Pakistan.

Besides, it seems that you are over inspired by the theories of so called environmentalists.Everybody on the earth is going to save somethimg, save the bees, save the trees, save the whales, save those snails. Does not antbody understand that it is one more attempt bu human bieng to interfere with nature.The face is that today over 90 percent, way over 89 oercent species that had ever lived on earth are gone.We didn't kill them all.They just disappeared.This is what nature does.Leave nature alone.its a self correcting system.Dont bother about snakes, snails, whales, bees, trees.AND MOST ARROGANT of all is save the planet.

My friend the planet is not going anywhere.Its been here for a long time.We are been here for what ? 1,00,000 years may be 2,00,000 years.The earth is been here for 4.5 billion years.
And we have engaged in a heavy industry for a little over 200 years.
4.5 billion years V/S 200 years.
And the planet is been through worse than us.Been through EARTHQUAKS, VOLCANOS, PLATE TECTONICS, MAGNETIC STORMS, MAGNETIC REVERSAL OF THE POLES, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF BOMBARDMENT BY COMECS AND ASTROIDS, WORLDWIDW FLOODS, TIDAL WAVES, WORLDWIDE FIRES, EROSION, COSMIC RAYS, RECURRING ICE AGES,
And we think some PLASTIC BAGS, and some ALUMINIUM CANS, are going to make a difference.

Remember, Environmentalists don't care about the earth.
